Simply start the process with a "get started" consultation
Your visa will allow you to stay in the EU until it expires. You are required to maintain a permanent address in the country where your visa is based and spend a minimum amount of time there but are otherwise free to roam country to country just like state to state.
We provide custom packages depending on your desired level of service. A budget of approximately EUR 8-10K is advised to cover the expenses involved in obtaining your visa and establishing your residence.
A portion of the recommended budget is used as an initial bank deposit as part of your immigration application. Some countries require that you maintain a government required minimum balance in your EU bank account throughout your time in the EU. You can take that balance back when (and if) you decide to end your European fling.
You (and your family if applicable) will obtain a long-term residence permit for a minimum of 1 year depending on the country. Before it expires, and if you meet the minimum requirements, you will be able to apply for an extension.
After 5 years of total uninterrupted residence you will be able apply to permanently remain or even apply for citizenship if you meet the minimum requirements.
Depending on your country of choice, you may work as an independent self employed freelancer, as a "nomad," or start a business.
You can provide any service or a start a business you have knowledge of. Formal business plans are not always required. In some countries you must maintain a minimum bank balance and file taxes in America and the country where your visa is based, which our team can assist you with. Some countries like the Netherlands have generous tax exemptions for foreign earned income.
You can work remotely for your American company while living in the EU in most cases.
In most cases your visa only allows you to work for EU companies as a freelance contractor or consultant. If you would like to work directly for an EU company your visa and sponsorship would need to change.
In The Netherlands this is easily possible for highly skilled workers. All EU countries have different requirements for work visas. Our team is happy to explore options with you.
In most countries you can take your immediate family and even your girlfriend or boyfriend if you live together and consider yourselves domestic partners.
You can sponsor their visa and they can work remotely for an American company, independently in the EU as a freelancer, or even start their own small business.
